Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts Regional Park

The Saint-Agathe-des-Monts region is nestled in the Laurentian Mountains and is home to impressive biodiversity that reflects the ecological wealth of this boreal land. A mixed forest made up of hardwood trees such as yellow birch, red maple and aspen stand proud beside iconic conifers including balsam fir and black spruce. This leafy mosaic provides a prime habitat for a varied fauna of white-tailed deer, red foxes, beavers, ruffed grouse and a large number of migratory birds and small mammals. The wetlands, rivers and lakes create an even more balanced ecosystem by welcoming amphibians, fish and essential pollinating insects.
